With just over a month to go until Movement Detroit takes over Hart Plaza for Memorial Day Weekend, the iconic festival has officially dropped its Stages & Showcases lineup—and it’s one of the most thoughtfully curated yet.
Running May 24–26, 2025, Movement’s six stages—Movement Stage, Waterfront Stage (presented by JARS), Stargate, Underground, Pyramid, and Detroit Stage—will host a mix of techno titans, rising underground names, and local heroes, delivering nonstop beats across three days in the birthplace of techno.
Celebrating Detroit’s Legacy with New + Returning Showcases
In true Movement tradition, the festival’s 2025 showcases spotlight the heart of Detroit’s electronic music culture:
- Detroit Love – Carl Craig’s global party brand returns with a stacked b2b from Carl Craig x Moodymann featuring Mike Banks.
- KMS Records – Kevin Saunderson brings his iconic label back with a set alongside The Saunderson Brothers.
- House Your Life – DJ Minx’s high-energy celebration of house culture takes over the Pyramid Stage on Monday.
- Underground Music Academy Showcase (UMA) – Making its Movement debut, UMA is a Detroit-based educational hub founded by Waajeed, focused on cultivating the next generation of Black electronic music artists. Their Sunday showcase at the Detroit Stage features a deep roster of local talent.
