Summer Smash is a newer addition to Chicago’s thriving festival scene. After starting in 2018, the festival is now in its 3rd year. The second festival grew to four times the size of the original, so it’s safe to say that expectations for this year are high.
The festival is the city’s premier hip hop event, and embodies Chicago’s vibrant youth culture.The festival will take place in Douglass Park from Friday August 20 to Sunday August 22. This is another expansion from the event’s two-day origins. Summer Smash is a collaboration between Lyrical Lemonade and SPKRBX, and promises to deliver the best of millennial entertainment.
Summer Smash’s 2021 lineup has a mix of hip hop greats and rising talent, with names like Lil Uzi Vert, Carnage, and Lil Yachty as some of the festival’s most anticipated headlining talent.
The festival is working to keep all fans safe from Covid-19, and will release restrictions and health policies on their website as the festival date approaches.
3-Day General Admission passes are currently on sale for $275, and VIP passes are available for $435.
